I’ll arrive early to get settled and begin painting before guests arrive whenever possible.

By the end of my on-site painting time, your artwork will be complete enough to display and enjoy, with additional refinement in my studio afterward.

The Finished Painting
Most paintings are approximately 70 to 80% complete by the end of the reception.
But the painting’s journey doesn’t end when I pack up my brushes.
It comes back to my studio with me, where I refine the details, make final adjustments, and apply a protective varnish.
Your finished Storybook Painting is typically ready within 3–5 weeks after your wedding.
Local hand delivery is available within a 90-minute radius of Claysville, Pennsylvania. Shipping with tracking and insurance is available for clients outside the area.
Frequently Asked Questions
What moment will be featured in my painting?
That’s completely up to you. Your painting can feature your ceremony, first dance, a romantic portrait, your venue, or another meaningful moment from your wedding day.
We’ll work together to choose the composition, pose, and setting that best tells your story.
Do you have to paint during the ceremony?
Not necessarily. Some venues and churches don’t allow painters during the ceremony. In those cases, I can use photographs of the ceremony space and details while capturing your chosen pose live during the reception.
How does live painting work?
I typically arrive one to two hours before guests enter the reception space. I begin building the background and key elements of the scene before incorporating the couple and other meaningful details.
Throughout the evening, your guests can watch the painting develop.
How much of the painting is completed at the wedding?
Most paintings are approximately 70–80% complete by the end of the reception. I then take the painting back to my studio for final refinements and varnishing.
Can we choose our pose?
Absolutely. Many couples choose a pose inspired by their first dance, first kiss, or favorite wedding photograph.
We’ll work together before and during your wedding to make sure the final composition reflects your vision.
What do you need from us on the wedding day?
Very little. I simply need a small workspace and a chair. I’ll coordinate the rest with you, your planner, or your venue ahead of time.
Do you travel?
Yes! I’m based near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and regularly paint weddings throughout Western Pennsylvania and beyond.
Travel within a 90-minute radius of Claysville, Pennsylvania is included. Additional travel fees may apply outside that area.
How do I reserve my date?
Simply submit an inquiry with your wedding date, venue, and a little information about your celebration.
If we’re a good fit, I’ll send over your contract and retainer information.
Your date is officially reserved once the signed contract and non-refundable 50% retainer have been received.
