Live wedding painting has been featured in publications such as Brides Magazine and The Knot as one of the most meaningful modern wedding experiences.
Why I Became a Live Wedding Painter in Pittsburgh
I’ve always been drawn to stories – the kind that live in quiet moments, meaningful glances, and the spaces between words. Long before I ever painted weddings, I was writing children’s books, illustrating scenes, and chasing light with a camera- building worlds where emotion mattered just as much as beauty. That storytelling lens still shapes everything I create today.
I specialize in live wedding paintings now, but before I starting painting weddings, I had 15 years of experience photographing weddings and elopements, I bring a deep understanding of wedding-day flow, emotion, and fleeting moments – which means I know exactly when the magic happens, and how to translate it into art.
Early in my career, I completed an internship at Brides magazine, where I developed a strong foundation in editorial storytelling, timeless aesthetics, and what truly resonates with couples. That experience still influences my work today – from composition and pacing to how I think about heirloom art versus trends.

What Makes My Live Wedding Paintings Different
My style is soft, romantic, and storybook-inspired – influenced by classic illustration, fine art photography, and the kind of imagery you want to walk past every day and feel something.
When I’m not painting, you’ll usually find me:
- working on children’s book projects
- photographing dreamy, storybook-style scenes
- gardening
- hanging out with my crazy dog, Oakley

I’ve written two children’s books – The Alphabet According to Chickens and The Chicken’s Guide to Gardening – and I bring that same sense of wonder, warmth, and whimsy into my wedding work. I believe art should feel alive, personal, and deeply human – not stiff or overly posed.
What I love most about live wedding painting is the intimacy of it. I get to quietly observe a couple on one of the most meaningful days of their lives – Something you don’t just hang on a wall, but live with.
Whether I’m painting a grand ballroom wedding, an intimate backyard ceremony, or a quiet elopement, my goal is always the same: to create artwork that feels like a memory – not a photograph – and becomes part of your story for decades to come.
If you value art, sentiment, and meaningful details, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
✨ I’d love to paint something beautiful for you.
