Custom Wedding Paintings: Turning Your Wedding Photos Into One Meaningful Masterpiece
Your wedding day goes by in a blur.
One minute you’re buttoning your dress, the next you’re cutting the cake, and somehow…it’s over.
You have the photos, of course. Hundreds of them…maybe thousands!
But what if you could take your favorite moments, even from multiple photos and combine them into one timeless piece of art?
That’s exactly what Custom Wedding Paintings are designed to do.

Can a Painting Include Multiple Photos?
Yes. Absolutely.
In fact, many of my clients who are already married specifically ask for this.
Maybe:
- You love the way your dress looked in one photo
- The lighting was perfect during the ceremony
- The candid laugh at the reception feels the most “you”
- A grandparent was in one image but not another
- The venue looked stunning from a different angle
With Custom Wedding Paintings, we aren’t limited to a single frozen frame. We can thoughtfully combine meaningful elements into one cohesive, beautifully composed scene.
You’re not choosing between moments.
You’re preserving all of them.

Why Choose a Custom Wedding Painting After the Wedding?
Many people think wedding paintings only happen live at the event, and while live wedding painting is magical, Custom Wedding Paintings are perfect for couples who:
- Didn’t know live painting was an option
- Had a smaller or private ceremony
- Want a first anniversary gift
- Are celebrating 5, 10, or 25 years (or more!)
- Lost a loved one since the wedding
- Simply want something more emotional than a framed print
Photos capture what happened.
Paintings capture how it felt.
A Custom Wedding Painting allows us to soften distractions, enhance lighting, adjust poses slightly, and create a romantic, storybook interpretation of your day.

What Can Be Customized?
Almost anything.
When creating Custom Wedding Paintings, we can:
- Combine multiple reference photos
- Add or remove background elements
- Include loved ones who couldn’t attend
- Adjust the time of day (sunset glow? golden light?)
- Emphasize meaningful details like florals or architecture
- Refine expressions so they feel natural and joyful
This isn’t about altering reality.
It’s about honoring your story in the most beautiful way possible.

How the Process Works
- You send your favorite wedding photos. (High resolution photos work the best- however, there are some cases when I can work with lower resolution photos as references.)
- We discuss what matters most to you, and you decide on the size you’d like (I can paint wedding canvases in sizes of 8×10 and larger.)
- You order your custom painting
- Wedding paintings take approximately 3 to 5 weeks to finish, and you get up to 3 revisions after I message you a photo of the finished piece.
- You receive a finished heirloom piece ready to hang.
The entire process is collaborative, thoughtful, and centered around your memories.

A Wedding Album Fades. A Painting Becomes an Heirloom.
Your wedding photos will live on your phone, in albums, and maybe on social media.
But a Custom Wedding Painting lives on your wall.
It becomes the piece people ask about.
The one your children grow up seeing.
The artwork that holds a thousand tiny memories in one frame.
If you’re already married and wondering whether it’s “too late” to commission something like this…
It’s not.
In fact, sometimes creating it afterward makes it even more meaningful because now you know exactly which moments mattered most.

Frequently Asked Questions About Custom Wedding Paintings
How many photos can you combine into one custom wedding painting?
There isn’t a strict limit. Most Custom Wedding Paintings combine elements from 2–5 photos, but it truly depends on what you want included. We might use one image for your pose, another for lighting, another for venue details, and another for a special guest. During the design process, we’ll decide what creates the most natural and beautiful composition.
Will the painting look exactly like the photos?
A Custom Wedding Painting is inspired by your photos — not a copy-and-paste replica. My goal is to preserve likeness and important details while enhancing the atmosphere, lighting, and emotion. The final piece feels romantic, timeless, and painterly rather than photographic.
Can you add someone who wasn’t in the original photo?
Yes. One of the meaningful aspects of Custom Wedding Paintings is the ability to include loved ones who may not have been present in a specific image — or even at the wedding itself. As long as you can provide reference photos, we can thoughtfully incorporate them into the composition.
Can you remove distractions from the background?
Absolutely. Unlike a photograph, a painting allows us to simplify or soften busy backgrounds, remove unwanted objects, and highlight what truly matters — you, your connection, and the atmosphere of the day.
How long does a custom wedding painting take?
Turnaround time typically depends on size and detail level, but most Custom Wedding Paintings take several weeks to complete. If you’re commissioning one for an anniversary or special occasion, it’s best to reach out early so we can plan accordingly.
What sizes are available?
Custom Wedding Paintings are available in a range of sizes. Larger canvases allow for more detail and a grander presence in your home, while smaller pieces create a more intimate feel. We can discuss what works best for your space and vision.
Is this only for recent weddings?
Not at all. Many couples commission Custom Wedding Paintings years — even decades — after their wedding. In fact, creating a painting later often allows you to reflect on which moments truly mattered most.
